- Stock #[removed phone] - ORIGINAL OWNER / R1 PERFORMANCE UPGRADE PACKAGEThis is the R1 PACKAGE - Loaded! Powerful 300 HP motorThis design measures 23'6" length overall and has an 8'6" beam for stability and space inside. The sporty 20-degree deadrise adds to the great handling under all conditions. Draft with the stern drive up is 22 inches, and with it down it's 36 inches, so getting close to the beach should be no problem. Her fuel capacity of 42 gallons will give you a lot of time for skiing and cruising.Starting at the BowThe bow area of the boat is designed to be just as comfortable as the cockpit. Comfortable cushions and lounger backrests along with built-in armrests make up the seating. Other features include cupholders inset in the bow area and two speakers. Under the seats there is plenty of storage as well as dedicated space for a Danforth style anchor. Low profile grab rails and pop-up cleats keep the boat streamlined. A stainless steel bow boarding ladder completes the bow. The new one piece windshield has a nice walkthrough with a two-piece lower panel that locks closed to keep out the chilly morning air.Cockpit FeaturesIn the cockpit, the helm and companion chairs have spring suspension seats with armrests, slide and swivel adjustments, and a bolster for individual comfort. The companion side has a dash with a grab safety rail, glove box, and an upper box that holds the Sirius Satellite-ready stereo AM/FM/CD player, that's mounted safely out of the elements. Between the helm and the companion seat is a very large in-floor storage compartment that can handle a bunch of skis and wakeboards as well as other large gear. In the stern area are two cupholders and small storage in the side pockets for the riders back here.Behind the WheelThe helm has a tilt wheel with fog-free Faria gauges in bright bezels for keeping up with the engine performance. A digital depth gauge keeps an eye on the bottom. Switches controlling the power are clustered to the right of the wheel and all are protected by circuit breakers. A 12-volt connection is also to the right for powering portable gear and recharging the cell phone. Comfortable SeatingThe stern seating wraps around from gunwale to gunwale providing ample room to hang out. More storage is under the seats with a dedicated space for the carry-on cooler located under the center seat.Underneath the sun pad you gain access to the engine and space, where there's also room to store kneeboards and wet items in a storage tub. The stern light stores in clips under the sun pad for easy locating when daylight slips away. Stern FeaturesRemote stereo control back at the stern for controlling the tunes without climbing back into the cockpit. An ingenious trunk on the stern is actually quite useful. I was able to easily store a wakeboard in this trunk space. The integral platform completely covers the outdrive even with it up in the trailering position. The covered swim ladder is situated in one corner while the other side has a built-in wet locker.Handling and Ride She handled just fine, jumping over wakes and taking tight turns without hesitation, proving this 226 will deliver a smooth dry ride. She will also be a ton of fun on skis and wakeboards. R1 PerformanceThe R1 leapt out of the hole in just 2.9 seconds and was passing 30 miles-per-hour in only 6.3 seconds. She was at best cruise speed around 3500 rpm traveling 31.4 miles-per-hour for a fuel burn of 8.9 gallons-per-hour. At cruise, you can expect to get about 154 miles from the 42 gallon fuel tank. When we opened her up, the 226 topped out at 51.6 miles-per-hour and burned 25.1 gallons-per-hour. If you are one of Rinker's many fans, or have been looking for a great runabout that will give you performance, a laundry list of features, and most of all a thrilling ride, the newly redesigned Captiva 226 is waiting for you to take her out for a spin. This year's changes are all geared towards comfort and performance, and Rinker has definitely met this goal. Please submit any and ALL offers - your offer may be accepted!
